The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) is planning to hold three free workshops in the Newcastle, Birmingham and London areas during 2009 to help businesses in both the industrial and commercial sectors realise the benefits that Combined Heat & Power (CHP) can bring.
These are organised by AEA, the managers of the CHPQA programme, as part of the Government’s new initiative CHP Focus . The workshops will cover several topics including CHP technologies (conventional and renewable), its different applications including case studies of successful schemes, the Government incentives available for CHP schemes and the benefits that CHP deliver within your organisation, both financial and environmental.
The workshops will also highlight the support available through the CHP Focus website and helpline. Following the workshop there will be the opportunity to tour a CHP Scheme and speak with the operator.
In the current economic and regulatory environment, these workshops will be of interest to companies who are under pressure to deliver environmental and energy cost reduction targets through improved energy efficiency.
The draft Agenda is available on the CHP Focus website . Seats are limited and those wishing to attend should register on the CHP Focus registration page or by e-mail to chpfocus@aeat.co.uk with your name; job title; company and preferred event.
