Nostalgia has entered the food and drink market with renewed vigour in 2009, as a way to tap into the recessionary-induced comfort food trend, and as a way to introduce new products which have demand and high consumer awareness and do not require a huge investment in development.


This conference will analyse the current nostalgia trend; explore the reasons behind its emergence and the wider emotional/comfort eating vogue and heritage values that consumers have embraced; assess how the trend is affecting brand
