“Sell More & Waste Less” programme for small
Businesses in the Food, Farming and Seafood Industry.
23 September 2009. Between 10.30 and 13.30 hours at Business Link Offices, Preston
Helping farmers who add value and small food producers to increase sales and reduce their costs are the two goals of a series of workshops that are being run by IGD. The workshops are fully funded by IGD and free to attend but all delegates will be asked to submit a cheque for £20 which will be refunded in full on attendance.
Delegates who attend will be:
- shown how to increase value and reduce waste drawing on tried and tested business practices;
- provided with simple tools and techniques that can be used in their businesses;
- supported by experts over two-months who will help ensure maximum benefit can be secured;
- encouraged to grow and to learn from each other and more widely;
- provided with written guides based on best practice drawn from IGD’s experience of the food industry
These workshops are designed to help business identify practical ways in which they can increase sales and reduce costs by using some simple approaches that have been proven to work.
Farmers and small food producers who have benefited from our approach include:
Morton’s Dairy - a business delivering milk to doorsteps in Liverpool
Brace’s Bakery -a plant bread manufacturer supplying the supermarkets
