In recognition of the importance of the French market to UK suppliers of fish and seafood SEAFISH have recently commissioned UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) to carry out research to identify importers/distributors, major food processors, retailers and foodservice operators.

John Gleave from the British Consulate in Lille together with French importer/distributor, GELFISH* will be able to answer these and many other questions during our inactive workshop and Meet the Buyer event.

*GELFISH are a family owned seafood importer/distributor based in Wimille, near Boulogne sur Mer, established in 1981. It has an annual turnover approximately €5 million importing white fish (whole and filletted), langoustine, shellfish and scallopmeat  approximately 33% fresh / 66% frozen) for re-sale to processors and wholesalers throughout France. They also exports to Switzerland and Italy.
