Taste of Britain - Vienna

20th – 21st JANUARY 2010

The Commercial Section of the British Embassy in Vienna in co-operation with Commercial Sections in neighbouring markets, UK Trade and Investment and International Trade Teams are pleased to announce a repeat Central European Food Exhibition for 25-30 UK participants.

The sectors that the event will mainly be targeted at are; 

Speciality Foods, Convenience Foods, Ready Foods, Ethnic Foods, Snack Foods, Organic Foods, Confectionary

The 'Taste of Britain' event will take place on 20th & 21st January 2010 at the Residence of the British Ambassador in Vienna.  This venue has proved very suitable in the past and is also an added attraction to potential visitors.  The link gives some impressions of the premises:

The events will be suitable mainly for; Importer/Distributors, Buyers of super-market chains and cash & carry stores, Agents
Wholesalers, Catering Industry, Trade press, Other media.

Through working closely with our colleagues in the commercial sections of our Embassies based in the surrounding Eastern European Countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia ), we will also be attracting key buyers and media from these markets to visit the event in Vienna. 

The lion’s share of costs are being covered by UK Trade and Investment.

This will include:

The participation fee for each successfully selected UK company is £490.  There will also be costs associated with travel to, and accommodation in, Vienna.  The Embassy can arrange preferential hotel rates for participants.

Prior to the event we will print an “Event catalogue” (approx. 1500 copies) with company profiles and representatives’ names (participants are requested to supply 50 word company description, contact details, product photos and company logo for entry into the catalogue).  This catalogue will then be mailed to all potential visitors in Austria and all the neighbouring countries.  We will also be issuing press releases. 

The British Ambassador will be hosting a reception on the evening of the event to which we will invite key contacts from Austria and all visitors from the neighbouring markets.
