Brian Mellor's - The Grub Club

We’re getting closer to the time of year now when most Chefs disappear into our kitchens not to be seen again until January!! I’m looking forward to  roasting my first turkey (with some of you) at the end of the month.

Previously I was telling you about the 4 sessions I’ve created known as THE GRUB CLUB – it’s a great way to get together and cover a wide range of techniques and make some tasty meals. It’s also a great gift for Christmas, better than watching a cookery programme and brilliant value for just £240. Check out what you’ll be doing below:

16th January, 10:00-17:00, Kitchen Confidence

You will cook: Hand Cut Minestrone Soup with Your Own Baked Bread; Wok Seared Pork  Tossed with Black Bean Butter Sauce; Apple Crumble and Proper Custard . Amongst other things you’ll develop your knife skills, make crusty bread, a couple of sauces and five methods of cooking.

23rd January, 10:00-14:00, Brilliant Brunch

The Cool Stuff - Granola; American Pancakes, Fresh Fruit Salad in Orange Juice . The Hot Stuff - Baked sausage meatloaf with Cheddar Cheese Frittata and Home Baked Beans. Blend, stir, pour, segment, slice,  caramelize, infuse  and simmer your way to a tasty brunch with the group.

30st January 10:00-17:00, Delicious Dinner

You’ll cook:  Chicken Liver and White Port Paté, Open Beef and Beer Pies, Cauliflower Cheese, Courgettes Provençal, Potatoes crushed with farmhouse butter, Milk Chocolate Mousse. Pastry and pate making, sauces, dressings and coulis, full of flavour vegetables and creamy mousses finished like the professionals.

6th February 10:00-15:00, Fabulous Parties

You’ll prepare: Mini Fish & Chips, Marinated Olives & Baby Mozzarella, Parma Ham Draped over Melon, Garlic and Pesto Flatbread, Sarmale, Kofta Meatballs, Soft Herb, Pea and Parmesan Risotto, Lemon Posset, Punch. Learn how to get ahead  and put on an impressive spread for your guests by cleverly planning, decorating & displaying your food.

You can book a place by purchasing a gift voucher for all the sessions or just for some of them. Nevertheless, I must say that the 4 sessions come at a better price than if you book them separately...so you can save £50.

If you can’t make up your mind about which course, when and how...then just decide whether you want to spend £55 for a half day or £90 for a full day cookery course, order the gift voucher and we make them valid for one year.
