The Northwest Manufacturing Conference

BT Convention Centre, Liverpool
Thursday 15th October 2009, 2.00pm - 4.30pm

With a value of £20.3billion, the Northwest is home to the UK’s largest Manufacturing sector . The Northwest Manufacturing Strategy aims to build on that enviable reputation.

This conference will mark the launch of the new regional manufacturing strategy , a new vision to support the ongoing growth of the ‘modern’ manufacturing sector and help tackle the challenges it faces including those presented by the economic downturn.  Delegates will also hear about the range of support available to Northwest manufacturers, in particular from the new and enhanced Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) . The service has already benefited thousands of businesses in the region, playing a vital role in helping our manufacturers to share knowledge, improve productivity and achieve success in an increasing competitive global economy.

The event will be attended by over 400 delegates from the region's private and public sector including manufacturing, business support and economic development. It will feature presentations from a number of organisations with a stake in the sector’s prosperity including the NWDA, Government, The Manufacturing Institute, EEF and leading manufacturing businesses.
