The Third National Food Markets Conference comes to Blackpool.
Hosted in the Northwest for the first time, the Third National Food Markets Conference will hear how the area has developed its regional food strategy and celebrated the importance of food and culture to the benefit of the local economy.
Keynote speaker Mike Wilkinson, Chief Executive of Blackpool and Lancashire Tourist Board will set out the ‘nuts and bolts’ of putting together a food strategy, looking at how markets have contributed to the regeneration of the region’s market towns.
Pre Conference Visits to the Ribble Valley Food Trail, Nigel Haworth’s Northcote & the Three Fishes, and Preston Market, will be followed by a chance to enjoy the sights sounds and tastes of Blackpool with a Fish and Chip Evening Reception and tram ride, and a Traditional Blackpool Breakfast, as the City launches its new food tourism initiatives.
