Water Solutions Networking Event

Tuesday 26th January 2010

Venue : GM Chamber of Commerce, Warren Bruce Court, Warren Bruce Road M17 1LB

It is no secret that the food and drink industry is a major water user.

It is estimated that the industry in the UK uses 690 mega litres of water per day – mainly for processing, cleaning, diluting cooling product, convenience and steam generation.

Water as a resource, and the discharge of trade effluent contribute significantly to the operating costs of food and drink companies. Previous reports have shown that this is on average as much as 7.9% of their turnover, and that utility costs will continue to rise.

The event is aimed at process managers, site managers and environmental managers from across the food sector and hopes to demonstrate both simple and innovative ways to deal with water and other environmental issues.

This event will also be of interest to environmental technologies & services companies who may want to access the food industry markets.
