NORTH WEST ENGLAND - CHINA AWARDS 2011
UK Trade & Investment in the North West is inviting you to apply for the most prestigious China Awards in the region.
The China Awards are open to any individual, company or organisation in the North West who/that has made a significant contribution to developing business or collaborative links with mainland China, Hong Kong and/or Taiwan during 2010 which may include bi-lateral trade or investment, education and community sectors. The Awards are sponsored by Finnair and Manchester Airport.
The Awards fall into four categories:
- China Business - Business with links over 3 years with Greater China.
- China Rising Star - Business with links under 3 years with Greater China.
- China Education Links - Universities or organisations with links over 3 years with Greater China.
- China Recognition - an individual or organisation who/that has made a significant contribution in supporting North West businesses to develop links with Greater China.
We will be looking for evidence of a direct link between Greater China and North West England, your approach and how you measure the impact of your links.
The winners of each category will be announced at the North West Chinese New Year Event consisting of a late afternoon China seminar, followed by the Awards celebratory and Chinese New Year dinner on Friday, 4 February 2011 at The Lowry, Salford Quays. Last year over 200 guests, all doing business in Greater China, attended this event.
The closing date for receipt of the application is by email or by post by Monday, 31 January to:
