Anaerobic Digestion: Opportunities for Development in the North West of England

Thursday 08 September 2011 08:30am – 16:30pm Tatton Hall, Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire WA16 6QN

Anaerobic digestion (AD) is an established technology with a bright future, flexible enough to be developed as a waste disposal option or as a source of renewable energy generation, and tailored to almost every individual requirement, large or small. Interest in AD is growing; farmers, food producers, waste management companies and renewable energy organisations are all investing heavily in the future of the technology.

In recognising the benefits offered by AD, the Government has put its support behind the technology and has recently produced an “AD Strategy and Action Plan”, setting out a vision for AD development in the UK.

This event aims to explore the opportunities available to a range of organisations in the North West from the development of AD, raising the profile and understanding of the technology and showcasing a range of industries that can take advantage of this expanding sector.

Who should attend?

Local authorities, AD technology providers, supply chain companies, food producers, waste management companies, agricultural and horticultural sector, construction and design engineers, equipment and machinery suppliers.
