Grasmere Gingerbread is a unique Cumbrian product.  Its founder Sarah Nelson started making her special gingerbread back in 1854 to a secret recipe in her cottage kitchen in Grasmere.  Today, it is still produced in the same kitchen and sold only from there or via the website.
