Food NW Retail Analysis
Food NW regularly survey the major multiples on both provenance and category, identifying retailer's stock and market position. The resulting reports provide valuable insight that will help you with NPD, brand evolution, pricing and positioning.
We currently analyse Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Morrisons, Booths & Waitrose stores across Cumbria, Cheshire, Lancashire, Manchester & Merseyside.

The Food & Drink Growth Programme
Food NW have embarked on a new project supported by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The Food & Drink Growth Programme aims to stimulate and develop the higher value sub-sectors of the region’s food and drink economy, whilst ensuring a safe and sustainable environment in which to grow.
The programme is open to SMEs in the food and drink industry across Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside.
The programme is being managed by Food NW and delivered with seven partners; Chester University, Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, Cumbria Rural Enterprise Agency (CREA), Enterprise4All, Manchester Metropolitan University, Myerscough College, and Reaseheath College.
The activity targets key sectors and addresses issues affecting SMEs in the Northwest including;

Providing specialist technical support to food and drink SMEs.

Support for regional and speciality food and drink producers in the Northwest.

Providing SMEs with business resilience tools to risk assess critical aspects of their businesses above and beyond the legal requirements, and develop action plans for success.

Providing support to enable the region’s producers to take advantage of the organic/ethnic high growth sectors.
We will post details of all workshops, training sessions, and events provided as part of the Food and Drink Growth Programme on our website, as well as in future newsletters.

Farm Shop & Deli Show Special Offer
27th February – 1st March 2011

Food NW has secured a limited number of stands which we can offer at a reduced price for the first Farm Shop & Deli Show - with only one stand now left at this very special price!
The Farm Shop & Deli Show is the only dedicated national show for independent delis, farm shops and food halls.
A range of exhibitors will be showcasing everything from chocolate, confectionery, charcuterie, meat, olives, sauces, preserves, condiments and chutneys through to speciality soft drinks, hot beverages, biscuits, cakes, beers, wines, spirits and speciality packaging.
The Farm Shop & Deli Show will run from 27th February - 1st March 2011 and will be co-located with The Bakery Show, The Butchery Show, the National Convenience Show and much more.
The cost for exhibiting is normally £385/m2 + VAT. However, Food NW has one 2x2m stand left for just £1280 +VAT – a saving of £260 on the usual show price.
A deposit of £200 + VAT is required to secure the booking.

Northern Restaurant & Bar 2011 - Celebrating 10 years of Hospitality Trade in the North!

IFE 2011 – Northwest Exhibitors Invited Into England Pavilion

Fresh RM, organisers of IFE, and the English Food & Drink Alliance are delighted to announce that for the first time anywhere, IFE11 will feature an England pavilion.
The England Pavilion has been created in response to the increasing popularity of English regional products; it will give English regional producers a stronger collective presence and identity, allowing them to compete with rival pavilions from the UK and abroad at IFE.
IFE is the UK’s largest and most important food and drink trade event. The entire international food and drink community gather at IFE every two years to source new products, trade and keep pace with industry trends.
