Preserving the nation!
Clippy is on a mission to preserve the nation... well, the fruit & veg to be precise! Michelle ‘Clippy’ McKenna, the founder of the award-winning Clippy’s Apples brand is at the forefront of the preserving world and has been highly acclaimed by BBC Countryfile as one of the top preservers in the U.K. Clippy is currently on tour with her unique ‘Preserving the Nation’ workshops at prestigious cookery schools across the U.K., demonstrating how to use seasonal ingredients when they’re in abundance. See www.preservingthenation.org
The U.K. tour kicked-off in London at the infamous ‘Books for Cooks’ in Notting Hill. Clippy’s hands-on workshops will teach you the secrets behind the perfect preserve. Featuring seasonal fruit and veg, with added hedonistic twists of chilli, chocolate, alcohol, garlic, vanilla or ginger.
Clippy's journey started as a contestant on the BBC 'Master chef Goes Large' series. Since then, she has demonstrated her prowess by appearing on numerous TV and radio shows and conducting workshops at fine-food festivals and stockist events. The Clippy’s Apples brand started from her home kitchen in Cheshire, and is now stocked nationally from Harvey Nichols and John Lewis, to the National Trust as well as numerous fine food retailers. The brand is dedicated to the protection of British apple heritage. See www.clippys.com
Clippy can preserve anything from apples to cauliflowers and if you stay still for long enough, she will 'preserve' you!!
