Food and drink are a key part of our economic, environmental and social agenda, indeed the food and drink industry represents £9.5 billion GVA, contributing over 12% to the NW economy. In addition just under half a million staff are employed within the industry and our region is home to 17 out of the top 25 global food brands.
It is important that Food & Drink is retained as a priotity within the RS2010 Strategy and Food NW would urge that you support or comment on the following letter to NWDA Director of Strategy & Planning Neil Cumberlidge by writing to info@foodnw.co.uk - our deadline is 27th February, 5pm.
