FREE FOOD TRAIL OFFERS GOURMET ROUTES AROUND CHESHIRE

Food-lovers can enjoy a gourmet holiday on home turf this year, courtesy of a free new food trail produced by Visit Chester and Cheshire.

More than 60 top-quality food producers and providers – from a restored flour mill to a Michelin-starred restaurant – are profiled in seven self-guided trails that will help visitors explore all four corners of this beautiful English county. Each business featured has been handpicked for its passion and commitment to providing seasonal, locally sourced food and a top-quality visitor experience.

The handy guide comes in the shape of an attractive, full-colour, A5-size booklet, which is available free from tourist offices and the 60 businesses on the trail. Inside, visitors can discover how to find Cheshire’s very best food, while enjoying the delightful landscape, from the cosmopolitan streets of Chester to the county’s canal towpaths. One tour can be taken on foot, while the other six are accessible by bicycle, motorbike or car, with essential GPS information provided.
