Clitheroe Fine Food Market Open For Traders

 

Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce will be celebrating their new status as official food capital of Lancashire this summer with a Fine Foods and Craft Street Market to be held in the town centre.

Working in close partnership with Ribble Valley Borough Council, Clitheroe Chamber of Trade is hosting the street market event on Saturday August 14th, to mark Clitheroes’ prestigious recognition as Official Food Town of Lancashire.

Clitheroe Fine Food & Craft Street Market is included in the 5th Pennine Lancashire Festival of Food & Culture, which runs from 8th August to 16th September.

Ian Lloyd, President of Clitheroe Chamber of Trade is delighted to announce the good news for Clitheroe:

“The Clitheroe Fine Food & Craft  Street Market  will embrace all our local food heroes and ambassadors and gather together the very best local producers in Clitheroe and the surrounding areas. This is a high profile, traditional family street market event that will further promote and enhance Clitheroes’ image as a premier destination for fine food, superb local chefs & talent, top quality, award winning establishments and eating out venues and superb dining experiences.”

 Cliff Cowburn, owner of the world famous Cowman’s Butchers & Sausage Shop  is one of the main ambassadors of the Clitheroe Food Town and Street Market:
“Our team at Cowman’s are busy creating a special sausage to launch at the Street Market and we will be actively taking part alongside a variety of famous local producers. It will be a great day out.”
