Longridge and District Food and Drink Festival 27th - 28th June 2009

 

Longridge and District Food and Drink Festival aims to celebrate the diversity and variety of local speciality food and drink producers who will exhibit at the festival.  

 

The event is being hosted at The Corporation Arms, Longridge, with 50 local food and drink producers exhibiting their excellent produce in the Food Marquee. There will also be a drinks marquee, where 40 Real Ales will be available, as well as ciders and lagers.

Local chefs will be providing cooking demonstrations in the demonstration theatre throughout the weekend.

BBC Radio Lancashire will be broadcasting live from the event across the entire weekend, and the festival is being officially opened on Saturday 27th June at 10.00am by broadcaster Stuart Hall.

On the evening of Friday 26th June, the beer festival kicks off with live performances from five local acoustic bands. The evening is free of charge, and promises to be a great night. Entertainment on the Saturday evening will be supplied by the fabulous One Hand Clapping.

Tickets for the festival must be bought in advance, and are priced at £5.00 per day, with children aged 12 and under free. Tickets are available from The Corporation Arms, The Corper Deli, or can be purchased over the phone on 01772 782 644 / 01772 783 883.

Opening times:

Parking for the event is on a park and ride service running from the Longridge Show Field to the festival every five minutes. Local people are advised to walk to the festival.
