GREAT DAY FOR GREAT TASTE RESULTS!

The full list of winners from this year’s Great Taste Awards was announced on Friday 15^th July – with North West companies once again coming up trumps in all three categories.

Eight products from the region came away with the top three gold star rating:

• Sticky Toffee Pudding – Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding
• Victoria Sponge – Gorge’Us Ltd
• Apple & Cinnamon Flapjack – Kendal Jacksmiths
• More? Sourdough Miche – More? The Artisan Bakery
• Multi-Seed & Flake Flour – WM Nelstrop & Co Ltd
• Herdwick Mutton – Yew Tree Farm Heritage Meats
• Herwick Hogget - Yew Tree Farm Heritage Meats
• Scottish Heather Honey – Amko Foods

A further thirty-eight products were awarded two stars and eighty-seven were awarded one star.

All three star winners are automatically judged again for the main category Great Taste Awards which are announced at a ceremony in September.
