Welcome to Cumbria
Made in Cumbria is an economic development initiative by Cumbria County Council with currently 440 members, 118 of which are food related. For over 18 years Made in Cumbria has been instrumental in helping to develop the county’s thriving food and creative industries, giving members practical business advice and successful routes to market. Every year we attend or create more than 160 local, national and international events, including more than 70 Farmers Markets.
Over the last 12 months 10 new start up food businesses joined Made in Cumbria. The total estimated turnover of all MIC food members were in excess of £34 million, with a total estimated investment of nearly £2 million.
