Welcome to Lancashire
With the ground swell of support of all things local it is no surprise that Made in Lancashire is fast becoming the recognised stamp of recognition of all foods that have been grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed in Lancashire.
Made in Lancashire is a membership organisation that focuses mainly on helping small food producers. This is where the real flavorsome foods are found, where the artisan skills still exist, and where the food heroes, so often talked about in the media, stem from.
It is wonderful to see the range of unique food products that come from a county blessed by such a diverse landscape. With coast and hills and rich farm land, Lancashire has it all and in turn delivers some of the most delicious foods in the North West of England, often brought to you from long traditions and family businesses. Without support many of these skills and businesses and their wonderful products would disappear. Instead, with even the limited support Made in Lancashire can give we find they are growing and diversifying, enriching our lives and helping the local economy.
If you are a small food producer and are working in Lancashire make sure you are part of the growing businesses that benefit from using the Made in Lancashire branding and do not miss out on the chance to open new markets for your products. We also make sure that because you are a food producing business, we offer you access to the training and development of skills required by todays legislation.
Support local. Look for the logo.
Made in Lancashire is based at Myerscough College in the Rural Business Centre and supported in part by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) via Food North West and the Lancashire Rural Recovery Action Plan (LRRAP).
